Hi, I’m Kelly,
a horse girl turned business strategist – turned back to horse girl who loves helping equestrian small businesses grow and thrive.
I was bitten by the horse bug around age 6 and there has been no looking back. After spending my youth riding in New Jersey, I took a hiatus from the horse world to start a career in NYC. I spent several years at IBM consulting for global corporations on their process, communications and organizational strategies. I then moved into a strategy and operations role for a retail company and most recently worked at an ecommerce agency specializing in redesigning and managing Shopify stores.
I created Avenue Equestrian to pursue my Horse Girl passions more fully. I am committed to helping equestrian small businesses of all kinds thoughtfully plan and execute the brilliant ideas that make them each unique. I specialize in helping emerging equestrian businesses grow to the next level through strategic planning, personalized coaching, and business benchmarking.
I am based out of New Rochelle, New York, but much prefer spending time at the Long Island barn where I ride, train and teach. I lease a 9 year old Selle Francais gelding with a classic chestnut personality – a little sensitive and a whole lot silly. When I’m not building the business, riding or dreaming about horses, you can find me drinking coffee or wine – depending on the time of day – and hanging out with my husband, Nick.
